The Petzl GRIGRI + (also written GRIGRI Plus) is a cam-assisted belay device with an anti-panic handle, optimized for top rope climbing. It weighs 200 g (7.1 oz), works with dynamic single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm, and is designed to help climbers refine their belay technique in the gym or outside.

• ASSIST + mode: Pre-activates the blocking action of the cam, making it easier to take up slack when top rope belaying and helping limit the risk of the rope feeding through the device if the brake strand is accidentally released.

GRIGRI + vs GRIGRI

Compared with the standard Petzl GRIGRI (175 g), the GRIGRI + weighs 200 g and adds an anti-panic handle and ASSIST + mode for top rope belaying. Both use cam-assisted blocking and work with 8.5 to 11 mm dynamic single ropes.
