KONG Elastic Tether Double
The KONG Elastic Tether Double is a double-arm elastic safety tether designed to improve safety during sailboat racing and offshore sailing activities. Developed for both racing and cruising environments, it combines lightweight construction, secure attachment systems, and ergonomic handling for maximum safety at sea.
The tether is equipped with two lightweight aluminum double-action safety hooks featuring automatic locking gates to prevent accidental release from attachment points. The ergonomic one-motion opening system allows quick and easy handling without pinching hands. An integrated overload stress indicator with a bright warning flag signals when the tether has experienced excessive force and should be replaced.
The internal elastic construction retracts when not under tension, helping keep the tether compact and out of the way during movement. A nonmagnetic stainless-steel snap shackle at the chest connection can be released under load for enhanced emergency safety.
