The KONG Elastic Tether Single is a single-arm elastic safety tether designed to enhance safety during yacht racing and offshore sailing. Suitable for racing and cruising environments, it combines lightweight construction, secure attachment systems, and ergonomic handling for reliable performance at sea.
The safety tether features a lightweight double-acting aluminum safety carabiner with an automatic locking gate, preventing accidental opening while allowing easy one-motion release. An integrated tension indicator with a bright overload flag clearly signals when the tether has been subjected to excessive load and should be replaced.
Its internal elastic design retracts when not under tension, keeping the tether compact and out of the way on deck. The non-magnetic stainless steel snap shackle at the chest connection can be released under load, providing additional safety in emergency situations.
